is it possible to get dropped by every house?

This is extremely rare.

I got dropped by every house then got picked up in COB. I believe the numbers say approx 5 % do not get bids and I think most are grade cuts these days. I did not know a sole at Bama and was not a comfortable conversationalist or small talker, so during the fall recruitment process I was a deer in headlights. After recruitment, I got involved and was selected to a notable freshman group. I was invited to one or two informal COB events with freshmen friends who had pledged, making me more relaxed. Happily, I was picked up fairly quickly.

TBH, the process can be hard for quiet or shy people. If this is you and you are dropped, I encourage you to get involved with groups you are comfortable joining and try again once you know a few Greek people who appreciate your other qualities.

I would not say it’s not very normal... my roomate ended up getting dropped completely after IWT but she had no recs and no idea what rush really was and was dressed inappropriately for those two days! If you’re even the slightest bit prepared you have a great chance of getting a bid somewhere

Around 7% of girls who start recruitment don’t get bids. I don’t know what the actual breakdown is beyond that, but the large majority are girls who either drop out of rush because they aren’t happy with the houses they have left or suicide on pref and don’t get matched with the house they put. If I had to guess, maybe 2% just get dropped completely.
It is almost entire girls with very low GPAs who know (or should know) coming in that their chances aren’t good. For a VERY small number of girls it is because they are very shy or just weird.

Have a low gpa can really really hurt you. With so many girls it’s just an easy way to make big cuts
