theta self ranking???

why is theta all of a sudden known for being smart... im not saying they aren't, but there are so many other sororities with higher gpas. even for new row, adpi and aopi are ahead of them. all of yall choose to look past the sororities ahead of theta....
come on theta will always be bottom of the bottom after sigma kappa

Stfu. I'm so tired of seeing so much hate for other houses. There are so many posts recently that are targeting houses for literally no reason. And it's SO obvious that posts like this are made from competing houses.
I'm not a Theta but that's legit their reputation. When I rushed everyone talked about how smart and involved their girls are and now 2 years later after meeting a handful and seeing how they are compared to some other houses I can personally say that they are a very smart and involved house. The fall 2017 grade report is just ONE semester. If you look through previous grade reports you'd see that Theta is usually top 6 or 7.
It's disgusting to see women try to discredit other women.

no one is discrediting any house. the top handful of houses are separated by tenths of a decimal. all those houses work extremely hard to move up and/or maintain respectable GPAs.

Thetas fall grades are a surprise since they are normally higher. I wonder if the huge pledge class had an impact. In our house (and I think most others) our freshman first semester have lower grades then our actives. Since they had a higher percent of new sisters to actives I wonder if that was their difference? The thetas I know are smart and I know several of their seniors were red caps.

People like to surround themselves with beautiful rich people because it makes them feel better about themselves. Our sororities have beautiful rich people. There are ultra-beautiful, picture perfect girls and then there are many thousands of very attractive, pretty girls normal girls. Theta has tons of these pretty girls but not as many of the show stoppers and they are not flashy with their money. During rush I was impressed with the girls I was paired with and they seemed so nice and genuine but they did not look like a magazine cover. At the time I wanted to be 'wanted' by the beautiful, rich people because I felt that I would be more valued by association. I didn't want to think I was just normal pretty. I got into a flashy/pretty house but I am still me and the things that impress my sisters don't impress me. I don't want to keep my tan year round or do my hair every 3 weeks or my nails twice a month. I do like being associated with beautiful people and that I made the cut. Just being honest but I think that is why Theta doesn't rush as well. I admire Theta for accepting all of their sisters for who they are but it does not excite during rush.

Honestly, I really admire almost every move Theta has made. I totally respect that they are bold enough to say no to the machine and know so many members of other sororities that would love to leave the machine but are really too afraid to do so. Also, we like our pomp traditions, but who can look down on them for choosing to use their pomp to raise money for good causes. Our pomps might look good, but theirs actually does good. As has been mentioned, their grades slipped last fall, but they have been consistent enough performers academically that they havd earned their smart reputation. Finally, they do what most Bama sororities try not to do, they recognize that lots of absolutely fantastic women do not look like beauty queens, and they are not going to pass them up based soley on looks. My ranking list easily puts this group above four or five other NR houses.

I’m in an Old Row house and I was at Theta for pref. I feel like they’re always just an inch away from getting some top PNMs but they get edged out. If they could just snag a few, I think they would easily be ahead of DZ, DG, AOPi and GPB. They’ve got a great foundation of smart girls.

Dont fool your selves, Theta is at the bottom because they are way out of step with what matters at Bama and it is looks all the way. We all know it! Aphi is proof of that, even with their scandal this year plus their terrible grade record, they have consistently ranked way above Theta. Theta should abandon their women of substance position and get on board the pretty train.

There is space in our Panhellenic community for women of all shapes, backgrounds, and substance. Houses like Theta are integral to our culture and there are literally hundreds of happy, proud Alabama Theta alumnae who would love to disagree with you. Pretty is far, far, far from everything.

I won’t argue that Theta is a house full of beauty queens but these posts make out like they are a bunch of trolls that should be living under a bridge. Theta has quite a few beautiful women.

Line up 350 girls from every house on campus without letters and you would never be able to tell which house they are in. Theta has many beautiful and pretty girls just like every other house. Theta seems to have all of their sisters recruiting instead of JUST their most beautiful sisters. Many houses put their most beautiful girls in the door and on the floor and their normal girls upstairs behind the scenes. To read here you would think that there is a problem at Theta and that is just not true at all.

This troll isn't part of our school. There is some hate from other houses on here for sure, but most of the posts are from the same dumb troll who has no life. Apparently they post the same dumb stuff on other school sites as well.
