You won't go to new member meetings AND chapter meetings, just new member meetings in the fall and then chapter meetings instead after you are initiated.

We have new member meetings a separate night of the week and the girls are still required to go to chapter another night

Oh and also can I bring my gdi friend to the study hours? We’re really close and she is terrible at managing studies. She’s super pretty and the most Greek gdi person but unfortunately bc of parang money issues she can’t rush

For my chapter, all the events listed above are requirements except for swaps and date parties. They are encouraged but if you need to study or something no one will push you to go and sacrifice your grades. You can even be put on social probation for having bad grades. Everything is fun though and I never feel like I wish I wasn't at the event.

Why can’t I bring her to study with us? Especially if she’s in my class. We have the same major

Seriously can someone answer pls. I’m not trying to be annoying but y’all are making it seem like it’s a crime to bring my gdi friend who to mention literally would probably rush in a year but can’t bc of money

the study hours someone mentioned above are something you do on your own schedule and track your hours on an app (at least for my house) so it’s something you and your friend can do at the library or your sorority house

for my house there is a proctored study hall in the house for a few hours then the rest of your hours are completed on an app.... the study hall is after a new member meeting so it would be weird to have someone else just show up when its a closed study hall for your PC. however, it would be fine to bring your non greek friend over to study at the house other days/times
