trending up/trending down

I agree with this somewhat, Theta will have the opportunity to trend back up after this next years rush, when all sororities (minus SK) have new houses.

Up: piphi, aoii, ddd
Down: xo, aphi, kd, gpb

Yes I definitely am hoping theta bounces back once they have their new house. IMO they actually have a ton of quality girls, they’ve just been struggling during rush

Agreed! I’m class of 2021 and was personally not impressed by Pi Phi this past year. I dropped them first round as they did not come off as a desirable house to me.

You do realize that large pledge class is not a good thing correct? A big pledge class is needed for sororities who have high drop rates. Not hating on Theta, I think that they are great, but having a large PC is not a good example of why they are trending up.

Not the poster from above but I think last year's large pledge class will help Theta in rush this year. They took a lot of quality social girls from OOR who feel throught the cracks because they were unknown. They will have some strong girls recruiting which is better then last year.

I do think that not having a physical house will hurt. I wonder if their house will be finished for rush next year? That will make a difference. If it will be finished, they should not be hurt too much because the PNMs this year will be in a brand new house next year. Two cycles without a house will be bad.

I am assuming theta will be rushing out of the stadium not the swing house, but I’m not positive.
If that’s the case I actually think it might not be a bad thing. Imo one of the biggest reasons new houses help so much is not because PNMs are superficial, but because rushing in the small, old houses feels so cramped and it gets so loud that I remember leaving one house and literally not having any clue what we talked about because I couldn’t hear a thing.
The stadium is not as great as a new house, BUT from what I’ve seen PNMs are more comfortable there and don’t have the issues they do in older houses. For example, I heard a lot of PNMs talking about not loving AOPi last year when they were in their old house, but I felt like the reception was more positive this year when they were in the stadium.
I agree that theta has a lot of really great girls, I’ve met so many that are involved, smart, and very pretty and I think once they have the space of the stadium or their new house they will actually appeal to a lot of OOS PNMs who want somewhere that feels more genuine

Pi Phi started higher than GPhi and I think rushing out of the stadium hurt them a lot. I predict Pi Phi will do much better this year than their last two years. GPhi had excellent PCs last two years (especially PC17). I think they will continue to rise and fast! I really like the girls I know in both houses and I wish them both luck this year! Pan love ladies!!

one good pc isn't going to bring gphi out from bottom tier they might do well cause if their terrible gap and get all of the QR pretty girls with weird social skills but pi phi will probably still get quality girls the looks factor will probably be determined after rush their last pc was definitely questionable but they seem to have great personalities

In my opinion, GPhi will probably trend up more quickly because they have more room to grow than Pi Phi. 3-4 years ago GPhi was THE bottom house and they’ve improved the quality of their rush and PCs pretty significantly since then (obviously some trolls on here don’t like this, but I like to give credit where it’s due). Because Pi Phi was sitting right at the top of NR with zeta 2-3 years ago (and they haven’t really fallen, they’re just not as solid now) I think there’s less room to quickly become better than any of the houses above them. (And as we’ve seen with Zeta’s improved reputation (again, credit where it’s due) there’s a LOT of pushback when people try to suggest a top NR house might be better than a bottom OR house)
I see them both trending up for Rush this year, I just think they are in different positions
