I’m pretty sure that nationally sig ep is a dry fraternity, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they follow that rule.

SigEp DOES have a pledgeship. Don’t be fooled by what others say

I was at BB last week and heard the same, so I wasn't considering SigEp. Since they do pledge, is there time to still get a bid once school starts?

"They only take 45-50 pledges". This is the problem with the UA Greek system currently. It's gotten way too big. There was a time when UA fraternities were Much more discriminating. Taking no more than 20-25 guys tops. How are you supposed to know everything about so many people? It's impossible with these absurdly high memberships. It's all about the money these days. Not brotherhood.

Actually, the university is requiring 100 man houses as a condition for building a new house or receiving a loan for a renovation. Even the houses on new row that were once occupied by houses now on University the university required certain size fraternities to be eligible to take it over. That is the biggest hurdle of the off-campus fraternities have in getting an on campus house.

According to their national they do not have a pledgeship
The Balanced Man Program is the centerpiece of the SigEp chapter experience and provides the experience
that today’s student needs to be successful during and after college. The Balanced Man Program is a
non-pledging, non-hazing, four-year, personal, academic, leadership and professional skills development
experience.

The program is founded on five philosophical tenets ...
Equal rights and responsibilities - Full membership upon joining
Continuous development - Growing throughout life
Accountability - Committing to SigEp’s high standards
Living the Ritual - Incorporating SigEp’s values into everyday life
Mentoring - Maximizing growth through guidance and support

Based on that you are full member on joining.
