legacy

by: Pnm

My mom was in a different chapter of one of the sororities here. Should I list that as a legacy even though I don't necessarily want to be in that house? I have other connections to houses and I want to be in a house that I feel good with not because my mom was it at a dif school

By the end of recruitment you may end up loving that house. You will be amazed at how much your opinions change from before recruitment to the end of the week

If your mom was at a different school, it won’t mean much to be a legacy here anyway.

NO!
Send on a legacy form to that house, but don’t list it on your Panhellenic recruitment form. You don’t want other houses thinking you’re biased toward another house.
Just my opinion.

List it on the registration form. Other sororities can't see your legacy connection, only that sorority can see it.
And you never know - you might wind up LOVING her chapter here. Don't limit yourself before you start.

This. The only people who need to know you’re a legacy are the girls at your legacy chapter. Be aware, though, that your rec writers may include your legacy connection on their recs.
