This is a process of selection. Both ways. PNMS get cut. Houses get ranked low.
While it's true everyone has tastes,
It is also true that some house have more control and some less.
There are girls that get cut early from houses they ranked high And houses that keep showing up when girls rank the house low.
Some houses have broad appeal, some selective appeal, but still competitive because there is more interest than open slots.
Some may not like it, but this is a fair list of the houses who cut more deeply and drop girls who rank them high.

Yes! Phi Mus are very fake. The whole point of being in a sorority is to find real, lifelong friendships. They’re not a top house to me.

I do think Phi Mu gets a fair number of girls who just want to see haw far they can get in the process with them.
Someone called it the Barbie Dream House on here...lol. I think it does get some pulll from that.

The above is so true
I think AXo and Phi Mu have the broadest appeal at IWT. Many girls, even if they don't see themselves there in the long run, rank them high and want to see how far they can get in the process.
In contrast, house is like XO, AGD, ZTA and at least in the past, APhi have those that love them and hate them, but still more than enough interest, that they are dropping girls who want to find themselves in these houses.
Houses like DDD, KKG and pi phi, fall somewhere in the middle. I don't see them as being as widely appealing as AXO and PhiMu, but not quite the strong love/hate of the above houses, and certainly competitive to get a bid.
