Everyone want a full card each round
This is a fair list of what pnms will want to fill their second round card.
Everyone is different though, there are houses on this listed I ranked low and some. It on this list I ranked high.
Ranks change quick as “cuts” at made. And assessments change.
My preferences and favorites would change round to round. And, much depends on how you connect with the active - or few
actives - you meet.
I had a house I really liked and I’m one of the late rounds got matched with someone that I just couldn’t connect with b
But think this is a fair list of what houses generate the most interest

I disagree with the Tide TEN list...there are four (both OR and NR) on here that I ranked at the very bottom and hoped I never had to go back to. I think everyone's top ten depends on what type of person you are and what you're looking for in a sorority? Be careful PNMs...don't let others tell you how to think or what you'll like.

LOL the tide ten IS NOT a thing. There's no X amount of houses here that are seen like this. If anything we have Old Row but even that's a stretch because OR isn't what it used to be.
1. Rush is VERY different between instate girls and OOS girls. In state girls are the ones who still perpetuate the idea that OR is prestigious and thus feel like the have to go OR. Most of the OOS girls who rush honestly don't even know what OR is until after rush. OOS girls are a lot more optimistic about houses here and are generally more accepting of where they end up.
2. That being said, not every single girls fawns over OR. And frankly, there are a few OR houses that are STRUGGLING and have been for years. I'm not going to name any names but we all know it. To say a house is "always wanted by PNMs" just because of a label created half a century ago isn't true.
3. I'll admit that there are a few houses here that do struggle with PNM interest and obviously some of those houses aren't on this list. However, not everyone wants to be in a "top" house. Period. Not every single PNM that comes through rush cares about status... How hard is that to understand. I mean, the majority of girls who do rush are coming from OOS and literally just want a place to call home.
4. This list perpetuates the idea that "lower ranked" houses are unwanted by PNMs. If you're going to make a list like this, next time don't include OVER HALF of all the houses on campus. If lower ranked houses weren't "good" then they would struggle with filling pledge classes which they obviously don't and they would have lost their charter years ago.
5. All houses here are good in their own way. And ranks change from person to person because it's all based on OPINION. 6 of the houses you listed are houses that I didn't like during rush and that's my opinion. Stop trying to make rush a popularity contest.

What I meant is that things aren't so black and white. There's not one house on that list that is a favorite among all PNMs, frankly, there's not one house on that list that even comes close to that. The point is that you can't make assumptions like this, you can't see a group of girls and just assume that they all love ABC house but hate XYZ.
People like you and the OP are just shaming girls for liking what they like. The truth is that no matter how popular or unpopular a house is during one week out of the entire year, hundreds of girls find their homes in all of them year after year. So who are you to say that a girl only claims she likes a house after her first choice dropped her? And who are you to say that there are only a handful of houses on campus that are "worthy?"

You must not have gone through Recruitment in the past few years. They do, and they will continue to have a decent rep among PNMs. A lot of girls in my group last year loved one or both of them.
Does that mean they were their top pick? No, but they are popular, and your insistence that they aren't, only shows your ignorance.

I'm not lol but felt I should reply. You are the one that is showing your ignorance. I actually did go through recruitment in the last two years and I would have been GDI before I was a Zeta or Aphi and I know others that felt the same way. (I'm sure there are Zetas and Aphis that feel the same way about my house.) Maybe all the girls you associated with during recruitment loved them, I can say that my friends didn't like them, nor did they want to be associated with their stereotypes. That's why all these lists and ranks are useless...There are no one size fits all list/ranks!

Which is why no one can say that any two houses have the worst reps among PNMs. I was a PNM last year, and Zeta and Aphi were both way more popular (for better or worse) with a lot of girls in my group. I can name two that would have dropped before taking other houses on that list, but would have loved to get into either Zeta and Aphi (and one of them did, and LOVES it there.)
Different people want different things, and because of that, anyone who claims that NO PNM wants XYZ house is either lying or a troll who doesn't know what they are talking about.

ZTAs "worst rep" is old news, and in my opinion not current - PC 17 was strong, and we'll see if it continues.
Unfortunately, APhi has had some recent issues.
Not in either, but wonder If ZTA will refrain from taking some of the "riskier but hot" girls that may shy away from APhi this year?
Will the Hot QRs stick to APhi, or will another house move in that direction?

This list is stupid. I guess it isn't a bad rank for top ten most popular houses but very few pnms are going to have a list that looks exactly like this one unless they are only looking at ranks on this site and can't make decisions for themselves. Generally speaking, even though they're in the same "tier" girls that like ZTA don't like alpha gam (and vice versa), and between tiers, girls that genuinely like aphi would NOT like alpha chi (again, this DEFINITELY goes both ways, chi o and kappa delta generally do better with southern girls, while the NR you listed hear are VERY OOR (even moreso than the rest of NR). Not saying these houses won't be popular at rush, and not hating on any of the houses, but they all attract very different types of girls. While these houses may be "popular" options, most girls will like at least some of the houses not on this list better than the ones you listed. The houses you like depends on your personality and what you're looking for in a house, not just their rank.

Unless you were a girl who knows a lot of people in some of the houses, it kind of goes something like this……
At icewater teas,...you meet girls for about 10 minutes.
Some seem to have an instant appeal, A great conversation, a beautiful house, your nerves were calm, or you get a good vibe. And some houses for reasons from everything from the color of the nail polish someone had on, you were hungry and didn’t feel good, the girl you got paired with looked like someone you couldn’t stand in HS, And you just got a bad vibe, you just don’t like.
You vote on your tops, and you get your card for the next round. Some of your more popular favorites dropped, and houses you rank below are still on the list. There are very few spilled tears As the 10 minute conversation hasn’t been much of an investment for these girls.
The only difference for girls who know a lot of people, is they come in with some predetermined thoughts about where they want to be.And they may have stronger opinions about not getting a house, and a few more tears.
Rinse and repeat. And you find some of the houses that you initially liked, dropped in your rating, and some of the ones you this thing rise.
And so it goes to bid day.
The better PNM’s, in general, go on to rounds with more of their top picks, and vice versa. The same is true of houses

Honestly, as a rising senior, this list sounds like the kind of houses Old Row frats want to party with first semester the most versus a list of which houses are the best fit for every type of girl ( and ladies, the ratio in swaps are 3-1/ 4-1 in the frat boys favor. Sooo, chose which GIRLS you want to party with!). I know some the houses on that list were my favorites after IWT and there are a few I loved that didn’t make your list. I would have been proud to wear any of their letters ( but, of course I am most happy that I’m wearing mine!!!).

Things do change from round to round and by prefs it most def is a popularity contest you're lying if you don't think so. A lot of the houses like Gamma Phi and Theta become top choices usually after most of your faves disappear not ashamed to admit it, unless you're a legacy.
