pnm's please read - ranks are bs

PNM'S - PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO READ THIS!!!!!!!! I KNOW IT'S A LOT BUT IT'S IMPORTANT!!!!
I have never posted on this site before, but I felt strongly about posting after I saw a few saddening comments that were obviously made by PNM's on a thread about ranks. Ranks are EXTREMELY subjective, meaning that the ranks of the sororities change with every person's opinion and what they want from a sorority experience, hence why almost every "ranking" that you see on this website will be a little different from the last one you looked at. Rankings don't mean anything, because it's literally just the opinion of the person that is typing the post or it is influenced by "the way that it has always been." PNM'S - DO NOT LET THE RANKS INFLUENCE YOUR RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't tell you how many of my friends let these BS ranks influence their decisions during rush, and now they are in a "top tier" house that they didn't like and didn't really want to be in, but chose to pref it first strictly because they read the ranks on here prior to rush and were too intimidated to actually put the lower tier house that they LOVED first in their pref rankings. Each person's "personal rankings" will be different, because everyone has different opinions and experiences with the all of the houses on campus during rush. Your reason for joining a sorority may be and probably will be different from the girl standing to your right or left, and thats just how it is. Make sure you go into rush with a clear and open mind, and make sure you identify what you value in a sorority and what you want from your four years invested in one. Are you joining a sorority to have a quicker connection to partying or meeting boys, or are you joining to make life long friends and have an outlet to plug in and get involved. Knowing what you want out of a sorority and what your goals are for the next four years can GREATLY help you identify which house is right for you!!! Just to show you how the ranks are so opinion-based, I'll do my own "ranks" (I don't even like to call them ranks because it's not ranks, its just my opinion based on which houses I would want to be a part of/would fit in best with), which are completely different from any you've seen on this website, because they are influenced by which houses I would fit in best with.
1. Alpha Chi/Chi O/Alpha Gam
2. DDD/AOPi/Theta/ADPi
3. Pi Phi/Phi Mu/KKG/DG
4. Zeta/KD/Gamma Phi/DZ/APhi
Before you jump on here and FREAK OUT and scream at me and yell "THOSE AREN'T THE RANKS AT ALL WHAT ARE YOU DOING!!!!!!!" I'm just trying to prove a point. The houses above are listed in the order that I would personally fit in with, and it therefore totally disproves the actual "rankings."
The whole point of this post is that the "rankings" that you see on this website are total bs, and all houses at Alabama are quality houses that you would be lucky to be a part of. Don't let the "rankings" get in your way of following your heart and joining the house that you know you love. The only "rankings" you should be paying attention to and letting influence your decision are the ones that you have to make at the end of each round during recruitment.

INteresting because all this confirms the pecking order is basically what everyone puts on GR. It is also interesting because it shows that everyone is different and will have their own thoughts. Finally, it shows that recruitment ends up with the right placements at the end of the day.

Now (different during rush) alphabetical in tiers-
ADPi/DDD/KKG/PiPhi
AOPi/KD/Zeta
DG/PM/Theta/XO
AGD/AXO
APhi/DZ
I wound up in one of the top 7 and am happy there, but I think more highly of some I ranked low after 2 years as an active. This is where I think "trust the process" is kind of real- you may not end up in your top chapter during rush, and where you end up may not be your top chapter after a while on campus, but in general we are happy where we end up and have a great experience.

Really? I did not think these confirm the usual. For example, go back through these comments and look at KAT's placement. Very surprised how many put them in the middle/high middle. Houses are bouncing all over the ranks. I sort of like it and wish PNMs would realize all the houses have something great to offer.
