pledge where you want - ranks mean nothing

I will only add it is a prefreshman phenomenon. By sisterhood days everyone is confused and so turned around since the ranks have nothing to do with what they experience in the houses. Once you run home you have completely forgotten this site.

Best advice yet! Would you rather be lonely and miserable in what someone else considers a top house? Or would you rather have a ton of best friends in what YOU consider YOUR top house?

It's not like you can ONLY be friends with your sisters. Everyone here has good friends in other sororities, and there are girls in EVERY chapter who just go through the motions and do the bare minimum.

I love my house but I can easily see how some girls might join a "top" house just for the bragging rights and to promote their own image. We're living in an age where followers and personal brand matter more than sisterhood I guess! Not saying I approve of it, but it happens.

I came from out of state and knew NOTHING about tiers and houses reps. I am so glad I went through recruitment that way - with a completely open mind. I picked a house where I felt welcome and happy and it’s been a perfect match.

I wish more girls could go through with an open mind instead of believing the crap on this site.

If you arrive here knowing (or knowing about) people that you want to be with and find yourself placed in a house outside of that group - I can see the “devastation” of the outcome.

If you don’t already have that “knowledge” and concern with being with those you already know, I think it’s fair to say that “top ranks” mean nothing.

Follow your heart and your gut. Do not follow what your mom, aunt, neighbor or friend tell you to do. That’s when you end up miserable and depledging.

I'm Greek and most of the people I know are Greek. When it comes to girls, at least, most of your friends do not even end up being your sorority or in a sorority! Trust me!!!
