sororities, fraternities and money...

Am I being naive or will people actually be googling my parents to see where they work (or don't), the positions they hold, how much money they make, or size of my house? I'm worried that I won't live up to others if this is used in bid process. Or is this just an OR vs NR, sorority vs fraternity thing?

If yo are interesting but unknown you might get looked into a little or else you would just get dropped bc top houses don’t need to take a risk
