Theta will have their day. Their problem is that while they have great grades and accomplishments they put on a bad rush, whereas aphi is exactly the opposite. Most PNMs only know what they see during rush week. I’m sure the new house will help them like it helped gphi.

You'd be hard pressed to find a girl who would rather be a theta than an alpha phi..... thats why

Why they are ranked on here higher:
Known for being the “hot/fun popular girls that frats like”

They are a relatively young chapter here (Installed in 2009). When they colonized they made sure to recruit a lot of pretty girls. But since they focused on growing a big chapter (which is necessary to compete here) many of their new members had lower GPAs.

They became the up and coming chapter. They worked hard to become favorites with the fraternities.

And they built a big beautiful new house as did most of our chapters.

So they surpassed some of the other chapters that had more well-rounded women/chapters.

Whats this? Are any of us who rank on GR any better than APhi? Most of the GR posters are sorority women, and every ranking over the past year AND since "the incident" has put the looks house much higher than the house everyone says is admired for integrity, grades, and friendliness. In fact we make sure that house stays at the bottom! APhi fits right in with our whole way of thinking here. Look in the mirror ladies!

Someone already used the word "superficial", so I'm going to run with that and say maybe Theta became what everyone on here says is the friendly house with integrity and a strong sisterhood because of their low ranking and old house. Consider that many, many PNMs base their decision on superficial things like GR ranks and shiny new houses. (Come'on how many times have you seen PNMs post the houses they want before meeting any of them?) So maybe being at the bottom has its benefits - no superficial members. Honestly, they should hope they stay at the bottom, hope those "crying on bid day" drop, and it is too late now, but they should have kept their old house too! What a radical recruitment strategy.

No one wants to be in Theta because they are at the bottom. They take too many OOS, too many overly focused on academics, and too many plain looking PNMs. APhi should be ranked higher. They are hot and fun!

They are more desired by pnms. It is as simple as that

So everyone secretly loves Theta and now they are suddenly going to get noticed by PNMs and rocket out of last place on the ranks to mid tier and Aphi is going to drop like a to rock to the bottom? I will agree Theta has made some respectable choices (Yawn) that we all seem to admire, no machine, grade picks, friendly, etc. BUT NOTHING IS GOING TO HAPPEN! They have been doing the same stuff since I've been here and they are still at the bottom and now they do not have a house! Aphi cleaned house and although they take grade risks, they are very well liked by frats. Aphi will not fall lower than a couple of places in the ranks and will have a fine recruitment. Respectable is boring. Most of us could have gone to a respectable school, but we came to Bama to have fun!
