Friendships between girls in different sororities are common. I am in a mid tier NR house and have friends in almost all other sororities. I am OOS and haven’t met many KD, XO or AOPis. Not sure if it’s because they stay to their group or just my experience. I have almost no GDI friends but most of the girls are on my floor (Pres1) are Greek.

I am in an old row house and most of the new friends from other sororities have come from my activities outside of greek stuff and from the other houses that hang out with the fraternities were me and my sisters go the most (or attend their formals or date parties). These are basically all the other old row houses. The new row houses tend to hang out at the new row frats but I have made some friends for sure with new row girls through activities and the date parties and such. of course my friends from high school in other houses are still my friends, but we all are branching out

The only people who think that sorority members are that insular are people who haven't ever been in a sorority. We ALL have friends from all over campus, including non-Greeks. I like who I like, and even prefer some of my friends outside my house to a few of my own sisters. I love my house, but I don't believe anyone can have too many friends.

The days when your social life revolved around your sorority and the boys of beta beta beta are long gone. Sure you have some old holdouts but honestly do you want to be friends with somebody who shapes their opinion of people based on Greek letters? Most everybody has friends all over the Greek system.

Dude here. Believe it or not, this school's greek life is not as divided as you think. Thats how I know its nothing but freshman or sophomores on here. By the time you're a Senior you've been living next to, going to bars with, and hanging out with a lot of people.
No joke, when I tell my friends at other schools that me and 15 of my fraternity brothers went to another fraternities party on a weekend because we weren't having one they are baffled.
