out of state non legacy bid from old row?
by: 2022I’m coming from Florida next year and was wondering what steps I need to take now to start networking with old row fraternities. Is there any chance I can get a bid or is it pretty much just in state and legacies?

Hi, do you know anyone that goes to the university already, boy or girl? Reach out to them and see if they can talk their friends/ guy friends to arrange meeting you. Do you know anyone going that already has a bid, reach out to them and see if they can help you in any way or introduce you to anyone. Fiji island is coming up soon and so are many other events which would be a great thing to come to and start meeting people. If your dad was in a fraternity, ask him for help. Or if he has any alum friends, they can help too. Also, they still give out bids (very few) in the summer and right when school starts. (I’m a girl with a brother in OR fraternity, I grew up in Alabama, all my guy friends are OR, but I’m not an expert but I hope this helps).

Thanks so much! I know one girl in an OR sorority at UA and will reach out to her to help set some stuff up. Would just like a weekend trip be good enough or would it need to be more than that?
