I was just reading about this. Is it a thing here? Sounds like a Greek version of a Promise Ring.

As cute as the concept is, it really doesn't happen too often around here. Mainly people just get engaged second semester of senior year. I think if a guy does do it, it would be well accepted and most people would know what the lavalier meant. Hope this answers your question!
