100% ok. Put Bama ‘22 in your bio so they know you’re a PNM and not some rando. If you have good/ cute social media this is a good way to try and get on actives radar before rush starts. Make sure your social media is clean before you do it, and do it before May 1st because after that they technically can’t follow you back.
Everyone likes more insta followers and we all want to try to get to know who the PNMs are before rush starts!

it’s very much okay, and make sure u follow them back if they follow you out of the blue. a lot of girls i talked to during recruitment this last year were girls i followed on insta so it was very beneficial that i had them on social media so i could look at their pages after i went in so i could get a better feel... don’t follow too too many though bc then you’ll just look creepy (i’d cap it at 5ish for houses you feel more drawn to)

Yessss. I love when PNM's follow me. Plus the more familiar we are with you, the better you will probably do during rush (but no promises). Studies show that people find familiar faces more likeable and attractive than strangers' so it definitely doesn't hurt.
