bids from old row houses as a midwestern pnm

There are some well connected Chicago girls in OR houses and I’m sure a few outliers but I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone in my OR house that’s not from the Chicago suburbs or sometimes Columbus Ohio

Please stop with these posts on how hard is it to get a big from an "Old Row" House. If you have the resume the sorority is looking for you will get a bid, regardless of where you are from.

I don't know how easy or hard it is from the Midwest but just observe that Phi Mu has some Chicago, Ohio and Kentucky girls. I also know some Chicago girls in KD.

PM's President is from St. Louis, Missouri, I believe. The AXO President is from Michigan or Illinois (but not Chicago). This is fairly typical. Even the old row houses have members from Midwest states. I think AXO and PM pretty good geographic diversity. So does Kappa and Tridelt, but not as much as AXO/PM. KD and XO and AGD not as much.

I know a few people from Ohio in Tri Delt and Phi Mu. Depends on connections and your resume coming in

one top pnm is from Illinois this year, and there was another TOP girl from the Chicago area last year. so don't get your hopes down

Not sure why but Midwest girls tend to have a good rate of going Old Row houses. From my observations

Your question implies that you are from the Midwest and want a bid from old row.....

I don't mean this negatively, you may find at recruitment an OR house suits you, but there is no reason to have that bias coming in. OR holds significance to local girls with HS and church friends that are predominantly in those houses. It matters when you go back to Birmingham, Mobile, etc.

Other than that, they had led no particular intrigue nor are they populated with "better" girls.

Keep an open mind. Not saying you won't find a place there, but being from the MW makes recruitment easier in a way. You don't have to feel the pressure of selection from girls in your home town.
