legacies during rush
by: pnmhow much will a legacy status help me during rush? i'm a legacy to three sororities - my mom and aunt were in one old row sorority, my grandmother and aunt were in a different old row sorority, and my great grandmother was in a new row sorority. will that help me at all or is it just kind of another box actives can check?

Most sororities don’t count aunts as a legacy, so really only your mom, grandma, and great grandma will count.
Because of how many girls go through legacies only don’t help that much if it’s not an in-house legacy, but they will usually get you a courtesy invite to the second round. It will also help put you on the houses radar more than if you weren’t a legacy so it can help in that sense.

No house will count an aunt and only some will count great grandmom, but you can find out your legacy status for sure from nationals; some have on website, others you can just call. As already stated, you will get a courtesy invite at almost all for second round, but that's it; they can release you after that. If you are carried to pref as a legacy you will get a bid if you put that house first.
