oos recs

coming from oos midwest and finding it pretty hard to get rec letters. I have a 3.9 and 32 ACT. decent looking and social. what houses will cut without recs? and what houses don't really care about them?

A rec could be the difference between getting the house you want and getting no house so please get recs.

Get your recs. There are plenty of sorority alumnae in the midwest. Men know sorority alumnae too. Ask your teachers and coaches, your parents' friends and coworkers, everybody.

Go on sorority national web page and look for local alumnae chapter. Then contact them. One of their members will help you out.

Reach out to your local Panhel association, they can help you reach alumnae in many chapters. And follow-up with the ladies who write you recs to let them know where you end up, they love to hear how it went!

There are several alumnae panhel associations around Chicago, a few in Wisconsin, one in Indy, one in the Twin Cities, and one in St. Louis. Plus some smaller areas around Big Ten schools. Google them and contact the one closest to you. They want to help!
