cheer team vs greek life
by: helphello, i am going to be a freshman in the fall. i am being recruited for cheerleading. bama's team takes up a lot of time, so i don't think i'll have time to rush. i know some girls on the team do and others don't. are the ones that don't accepted by greek members (like going to parties and stuff?) or is the cheer team irrelevant to regular students. should i suck it up and rush anyways and try to balance it all??

I would reach out to a couple girls on the cheer team, those who are in greek life and those who aren't, and ask how they balance their time with other activities (whether that be a sorority or something else). That might help you make a choice! I would also make your decision based on the difficulty of your major and how well you manage your time already. (I'm in the business college and although I work very hard in all my classes, I struggle a lot less than my friends who are chemical engineering majors for example)
