Maybe I misread the question, but is the OP asking what is overall the best at all the colleges in the state? If so, then I think PM has the strongest chapters overall if you factor in Bama, AU, UNA, Montevallo, UWA, Samford, and JSU. But if it was to pick the best house in the whole state, yes, I think you have to have a shared top two or three at UA.

yeah this makes no sense. There are chapters that have a stronger presence in certain states/regions than in others, like APhi out west, KD in the south, smaller sororities like AXiD or Phi Sigma Sigma in the north, but there's no one chapter that's top in the entire state. Even states like Texas, where greek life is very set in its tiers, has 3 chapters contending for the top, depending on what your legacy is or where you went to high school. Every sorority has chapters that are strong, weak, and in between depending on where you go.

This is way off on Auburn. AGD was a top house like five years ago. Same for ChiO. They both have fallen a level, or two. The top houses at Auburn are KD, ADPi and Phi Mu.
