giving letters as holiday gifts?
by: rtOne of my friends at a different school gave her mom and little sisters shirts with her letters on them for Christmas. Her mom wasn't in a sorority, and I guess I just kinda found it weird to give letters as a gift. Is that normal?

No, it is not normal. Some houses might have a mom's day t-shirt or XYZ mom shirt which is just fine, and it's one thing when your little sisters steal your shirts and want to wear them, but it's a different thing altogether to give letters as a gift to any non-member. Completely inappropriate.

I don't believe this is a real post. No one would do that. Last year I surprised my little sister and came home and picked her up from school early. She's a HS sophomore and was wearing my bid day shirt!!!!!!! (I was keeping it at home so it wouldn't ever get lost). I almost killed her.

My mom has pictures of me as a tiny girl in those "Future XYZ" shirts. Don't do this to your children, even as babies. Or, at least if you do, don't pull them out and make a big deal out of it before she goes off to college. I went through recruitment, and pledged somewhere else, and now those photos are a little awkward. :)
My mom got over it, BTW.
