Popular girls from in-state high schools go to UA, join top tier sororities with their other popular friends, and spend their entire college careers surrounded by the same people they’ve known since they were five, trying to hold on to the same “popularity” they knew when they were thirteen and everyone else actually cared.

Exactly. If a kid was popular for the right reasons they will be popular here. If they were popular just because and they actually lack great social skills they will be nothing here. Happens all the time to see some super popular high schooler who was popular because of a friend group or clique fall on their face or never make any sort of impact.
