You obviously went here a long time ago. G Phi has really come up in the world in the 3+ years I've been here. Stop putting houses down because you don't know about them.

Theta is the worst in terms of what the girls going through recruitment want. It is the one they don't want to see on their list. But Theta is still a great house and they're trying, esp with academics. GPB and AP are the best of the lot. AP has girls that are pretty and GPB has girls that are fun and a new house. DG is definitely better than AOPi and DZ. but not as good as the others.

This entire thread is a joke. These houses are filled with smart, involved, beautiful girls who happen to be from out of state, often far out of state. Threads like this show how terrified Alabama girls, mommas, and alums are of these accompished women and all that they are bringing to the school. These out of state girls are bringing a variety of experiences and amazing accomplishments and getting a free or reduced education. Fear and jealousy are powerful motivators.
The "top" houses are quickly losing their relevance and everyone on campus knows it. If you asked 80% of campus about those houses GR places at the top it they would think you were pranking them. Irrelevant is the best word, followed perhaps by forgetable. Most of the girls in those houses don't care either, if they did they would be more involved and make more of an effort to do something outside of their small circle.
It is a few backwoods girls but mainly the alums who are reeling from these changes and as a result desperately fighting to push groups to the bottom to make themselves feel important. Once you step foot on campus you realize that there is really not much difference between the quality of girls at any of the houses. truth.

Ok yes these “bottom” houses are still good but I’m missing the point of your post besides the obvious feel good message. If you’re looking for a rank that has dz above Chi o you’re not going to find it. And I am in a so called “bottom” house.

Many things. Grades is a huge one. Successful philanthropy events that people want to attend. Getting who they want during recruitment. Chi O has frequent majors fairs and internship panels in-house that many girls go to. Some houses just provide their members with better experiences than others and that’s fine.
And by your standard measure, there ARE bottom houses here. Sororities are very good at hiding their skeletons, so to speak, but they are definitely there.

The top girls with great scores from far OOS are by and large in top and middle houses. We need to stop pretending that old row shuts these girls out because they don’t anymore. Overwhelmingly the far OOS who land in bottom houses are either grade risks or rep risks, those girls who just come here to party. It’s obvious who they are during rush. OR isn’t in the business of “excluding” people anymore. They’ve caught on.

Yes, of course they're all good. But out of 16, one of them has to be considered "the worst." I think it's DZ (and soon to be Sigma Kappa), but curious what y'all think.
