what does it mean to be invovled?

by: What

I see on here everyday about being involved. What does that mean? Involved in the community? Involved in Greek events? What makes a house uninvolved.

Involved in everything. Community service, Homecoming activities, Greek Week, Derby Days, SGA, student organizations, etc.

The lazy houses usually just have a few girls in SGA or clubs on campus. Not sure why they laze out on Hoco, Greek Week and Derby Days because those are all a blast.

this is fake news going off some weird greek rank stereotype and self rankers. if you were to actually look to see who is involved and who is not you may be shocked. but all houses are involved in campus in some way.

It appears to me every house is involved. Some choose more of one thing than another. And each year new women join and the individual interest varies.

Some houses make it a greater priority to be everywhere. Sort of the "keeping up with the Jones" which is fine.

the fact that this got thumbs down shows what houses are on here trying to shove this whole involvement thing. it's annoying because EVERY house is involved on campus. involvement is an individual thing and every house has many different girls with different interest. a sorority house doesn't define how "involved" you are. its also crazy that something such as derby days - a fraternity thing is brought up as involvement...? really? so i guess now every old row fraternity has to participate in anchor splash (bc they don't) now since every sorority house has to participate in derby days? why aren't we holding the guys to the same ridiculous standards set? do better, girls.

Who cares are the girls who pledge these sororities hoping to do more than "never be sober for the next 4years." Who cares are alums who have worked hard only to see their chapters turn away from what made them great. Who cares are girls in other sororities who work hard and get looked down upon by these do nothings. Who cares are the crowds that come to see the parade and see hungover, no effort girls. Mainly I think it's just a heads up to future pnms who may care-- know what you are joining and if that fits you. Who cares ..... that pretty much sums up the mentality of these self-absorbed people.

well hello bottom tier house! thought it was you. if only your greek rank rants helped you in recruitment. i think i'm going to actually do my research and finally put this involvement thing to rest. stay tuned and i hope your house is actually involved otherwise you're going to be exposed and not going to be able to use this attack any longer!

The fact that you would call the poster a lower tier sorority shows you just don't get it. Hello

Yes!!! Research please. Capstone women, SGA office holders, SGA members, honecoming committee officers, omecoming participation, float making, Greek week participation, dance marathon, grade point averages, service clubs, percentage in the honors college, athletic recruiting team, attendance, university stewards, .... research it all.

Freshman forum doesn't count bc that is something that doesn't require vetting or attendance. Panhellenic offices don't count because those are required and rotate officers.

Good Luck!!!!
