by: Me!From NY n thinking about attending bama next year but how hard would it be to make friends & party without joining a sorority? I've never been one to have trouble making friends but I've seen a lot of people get turned down on this site for being a GDI....is it really that bad?

It's so much easier if you are a girl than a guy. You can still attend most fraternity parties and such, and 70% of the campus isn't Greek, so you can always find non-Greek things to do.
Would you enjoy the Greek experience? Yes, probably, but is it necessary to have fun at college? Not at all.

Some might, but 70% of the campus isn't Greek, and mos Greeks won't. so the majority will not.
