tri delt is not good

Ask anyone who ACTUALLY goes here and you'll find that tri delt is on a completely different level than adpi and theta. This post is laughable

They are better than Theta and adpi by far. But I wouldn't put them up with Phi mu and axo

Ok, well tri Delt attracts a different type of girl at Alabama than theta and Adpi. Tri Delt has a lot of partiers and is generally wilder. It traditionally had wealthier girls than those but things have changed through the years and everyone has money. But some snobbery persists and girls want to be part of what is considered old row if they are in state and swap with the nasty boys of old row.

They are ranked higher bc more girls choose them over the other two.. though that doesn't mean they are actually better. I know some fun, smart tri delts and some real dingbats. All I know party pretty hard.

Needed to be said

In the "so-called" wealthy enclaves within the state of Alabama, if you want to belong and be treated equally at the country clubs you must be a member of certain "Old Row" fraternities and sororities. The old guard will do anything to maintain this perception. When "Old Row" was really the elite of the elite has long passed, but they will fight tooth and nail to avoid facing that reality.

The demographics of the University have dramatically changed over the past decade and the power and prestige of "Old Row" sororities and fraternities just doesn't hold water outside of Alabama. In many cases "New Row" sororities and fraternities are much more prestigious throughout the USA.

so true re old guard but the wonderful thing is that some people of that old generation actually have the ability to see that things have changed and are open to their children/grandchildren pledging whatever they want. It still is usually old row in state, but at least it's by their own choice.

I would always hope my kids would choose what fits them and not what fit me.
