or?
by: GirlWhat's the benefit and deal with being in an old row house? Genuine question. Is it jusst a label people want to have and that's all there is too it orrr
#1by: OR and OOS
Over half the girls in kappa and alpha chi are OOS. KD and Chi O and phi Mu aren't far behind.
OOS girls can choose what they want if they have good recs and a good personality. They may prefer to be with more OOS girls. Up to them.
Agree the bashing of instate girls needs to stop. You came to school here.

Old row has meaning for girls in Mobile and Birmingham maybe. But for everyone else, old row means that half the house has known each other for the last 18 years and aren't looking for new friends. For the oos girl old row means you're much more lonely and isolated because most of the girls don't care about you and don't really want to spend the time getting to be friends with you. So truthfully (though no one on here will tell you this but me) you're better off new row if you're oos.

All houses are the same even if OR does not want to admit. Every house has some fantastic women and some not so fantastic. They all offer same sorority social functions. Greek life at Bama is superior to other campuses and if you want that experience it does not matter which one you join. Even the lowest tier strats you see mentioned here wind up initiating almost all of their PNMs because the new members learn that they do get the sorority experience they were looking for not matter what the letters are.

Don't paint with too large a brush on old row. The Alabama hs clique thing is really only a thing in KD, kappa, agd and xo.
