Me too not sure if ill rerush or cob

theres no cons in regard to being a sophmore with freshman. Thats only a couple month age difference in some cases

pros of rushing as a sophomore:
you probably know actives in various houses, if you have good grades it looks great because your gpa reflects how you've done in actual college courses

cons of rushing as a sophomore:
you're a sophomore. houses that dropped you once probably aren't going to give you a second chance. if you've made a "reputation" for yourself or if you've pissed off any actives that will be held over your head.

pros of being a sophomore in a freshman pc:
- you're more experienced. you know the campus, you've probably been to a fair share of frat parties, you probably know active frat guys, you're already acclimated in college life so balancing a sorority and classes shouldn't be as hard.

cons of being a sophomore in a freshman pc:
- you're a sophomore. you may feel like the freshman are annoying and immature. you're surrounded by girls who don't know whats going on. while they're all living in tut you're probably off campus. swaps can be weird since most frat pc's are a freshman majority.

Two things.

1) If going Greek is really something that matters to you then being a sophomore in a freshman PC is not going to be an issue. If this is really a priority for you then the potential awkwardness will be worth it in the long run. If you aren't mature enough to handle that then yeah, don't do it.

2) Any house that would take you via COB would not drop you after IWTs so do not think that COB gives you more options.... It doesn't. You have a much higher chance of having more options and getting a second look at by chapters if you do formal recruitment. Why rely on COB when you could do formal? I don't get it. Your chances are the highest when you do formal, even as a sophomore.

Why didn't you get a bid this time? Or did you, and it wasn't the house you wanted?

Here's your reality:

Unless you get a 4.0 and become best friends with tons of girls in whatever house it is that you want to join, you will be disappointed with your schedule.

Someone will respond here and say that they re-rushed and got a top house, but they are either lying, or one of the luckiest people on the planet. A lot of houses have a "dropped once, dropped twice" policy, and those that don't will want people that they know.

Good luck, but I'd make sure you find some fun 'non-greek' activities to join, so that you aren't too disappointed.

honestly you're not going to get a bid to any house but like DZ or Theta as a Sophomore... sorry but that's just the total truth
