1. UA recruitment goes on as normal. SK will not be taking girls as part of it.
2. Shortly after Recruitment ends, SK will have interviews with interested girls.
3. They will have essentially a 'mini recruitment,' with a few nights of events like Open House, Sisterhood, Philanthropy, and Pref (which is invite only).
4. They have their own Bid Day, and Tada........SK has a Sorority.
5. Whether they COB after that, will depend on how many people they get in their recruitment. No one can really answer that right now.
6. I have never been through this process, so this is how I understand it. If I'm wrong, someone please feel free to correct me.

1. SK will host an ice water tea with everyone else first round 2018. Usually they're in the stadium...go in, sit down, watch a short video, several people speak explaining a little about the sorority and the colonization process. Speakers could be a mix of national officiers, local advisers, collegiate members of chapters elsewhere.
2. SK then withdraws from the remainder of recruitment.
3. Lots of advertising about SK recruitment. Reps table at Ferguson to sign up women for initial interviews. I think there might be an initial two or three big parties with everyone.
4. Individual interviews for two or three days with various sorority alumnae and officers.
5. Invitations to out to a pref party. This is an invitation-only party. Another chapter often comes in and does their pref party ceremony.
6. Bids are issued.
7. The sorority may pick up a few more members after the initial bid day, but usually they're done at that point.
8. Initiation/installation is early November (probably).
9. Spring 2019, yes, sorority may very well take COB new members.

My best friend had a sorority colonize on her campus last year.
How you described it pretty much aligns with what happened, although a lot of the time colonizing chapters will semi-participate in recruitment by bringing in sisters from nearby schools for IWTs and basically introducing the concept of joining SK into girl's minds from the first round. They they remove themselves from recruitment for the rest of the process. So don't be surprised if SK brings in their girls from UAB or Auburn for IWTs.
