is lower, so in Alabama you could be living in an old plantation manor for the same as it would cost to have a four bedroom house a couple miles from the beach in California. Even if you have less money, you can live really well.

In alabama you can get the same house as a million dollar home in the northeast for only maybe 400k. Alabamas per capita income is less than alot of other states, however this has nothin to do with going greek or any of the sororities or fraternities on campus.

Just because Alabama has a lower cost of living does not mean that people here are any poorer. A millionaire here would still be a millionaire anywhere else in the country. If anything, living in Alabama proves that you are a smarter businessman because you spend less money. And people living in places like Mount. Brooke in Birmingham, and other places in Mobile, Montgomery, and Huntsville have more money than you could ever dream of having.
