recs and rush

yall - i went through rush this year with ZERO recs and only one house dropped me first round. After that I got all my houses back every round and I preffed 2 old row and 1 new row. I'm from the north and have zero connections. recs are important, but overrated girls

You don't know who might have written recs for you that you don't know about. At least in the South it happens all the time.

I said this on another post but GET YOUR RECS. better to be safe than sorry and regret not having recs. I know for a fact you NEED a rec for Chi O.

I know a kappa from the northeast who went through rush with 0 recs. I know recs are important and y'all should definitely still get them. Trust me I got all of mine. But it does happen and its not always "fake news"

Hello,

might not be a troll, I came in with no recs either, I didn't have any connections, but I'm from the south. I preffed to old row houses and one new row house. It CAN happen, but it's unlikely. I had a 34 ACT and was exceedingly involved in high school, if it wasn't for my resume, I would have been dropped. I don't recommend it, but you can SOMETIMES very rarely make it through rush without recs if your resume is good.

Houses don't cut based on recs. They cut based on how you're scored during rush. A girl with a very high score and no recs will be kept over a girl with a low score and recs.
