my roommate is a DZ and it's true that they took like 120 girls this year. their '16 pc that my roommate is in had like 170. which is a dramatic decline in numbers. i know their tactic this year was to take a smaller amount of girls that were more "one type" as opposed to a higher amount of girls who were "varried types." however, just looking from the outside, it's evident that their reputation precedes them. and when their more desired new members drop, it's not mainly because their pledge sisters were diverse, it's usually because the house has a certain rep or doesnt have enough status... NOT trying to hate on dz just being objective.

that being said, girls will still drop dz no matter what new tactics they try. so, yes, dz will more than likely participate in fall cob as well as spring rush. and if I'm being honest, it seems like they're going to face a lot of problems with this smaller pledge class... less girls means less money. and with their new house being built, dues and expenses naturally go up. finances are going to strain their current active members and their '17 pc will need to work harder with rush next year because they have a smaller group of girls who will be primarily rushing pnms.

you're just a peach of a roommate now aren't ya!! I'm guessing you're the one that actually posted this question just so you could answer yourself 10 minutes later. I would dare say DZ could give a dang what you think of their strategy for improvement LOL

how tf was what i said mean? everything i said was fact... 120 girls? fact. some still dropping? fact. cob? fact.

i even stated that i wasn't trying to hate on them lmao y'all really are trying to look for anything to be upset about. dz is a fine house... but a small pc with girls dropping? they're going to face some struggles. good luck to them tho.

Not a big deal.
Numbers were down for everybody this year.
That requirement to have parents sign off that they had seen costs, plus the earlier deadline, made a big difference. A GOOD difference. You got mroe serious candidates, lower drop-out rate.

Not hating on DZ but those poor girls need to learn to hold a conversation. Speaking from experience, I was practically talking to myself every time I went to their house through out rush. They were so nice just not very social and that was a huge turn off for me. If DZ had girls that could hold good and genuine conversations then they would have an amazing rush and be much more desired!

Maybe they just weren't interested in you! Aren't you glad DG was?

Forget the DZ situation as its yesterdays news. On my floor KD gave 5 bids!!!!!!! Heard they lost a bunch of pledges after the 'facebook mother' situation and rumors that the national was going to put them on probation and possibly even shut them down. This would be a game changer to see KD do such a large COB.
