who was the top pnm?
by: :)Now that all of the girls are in their houses, discussing them won't impact their rush! So which girl was the absolute top PNM? She has to be pretty enough for PM, smart enough for AXO, rich enough for Kappa, connected enough for KD, chill enough for XO, well-liked enough for DDD, and proper enough for AGD. Discuss!

No such thing. Every house is looking for different types of girls and no one meets every houses' criteria.
That's why I don't understand how you think you can rank pledge classes. My house and your house had different girls on our wish lists, so even if my house gets every girl on our wish list, you would never know and we wouldn't know if you got your wish list either.

^ thank you! It's also why you really can't rank pledge classes and why it's so difficult to get a consensus on ranking houses.

Okay I just want to say that YES, every house does have their own version of a "top" girl. So for example, a top PNM to AXO is someone who has a 4.0 GPA, was the student body president, and is more grounded. While on the other hand, a top PNM to APhi is someone who's attractive and trendy. There's nothing wrong with houses wanting a specific type of girl.
However... You cannot honestly say that there aren't PNMs who aren't considered top for every house. I'm in a NR house that's not too competitive during rush... But our rush chairs still had a slideshow of a group of PNMs that you could obviously tell were the it girls this year during rush. And so, at least in my opinion, there are definitely some girls that come through rush that any house would kill for.
And low and behold, Phi Mu got the majority of them. Not a Phi Mu, obviously, but you really can't deny that they got a lot of great (or at least extremely desired) PNMs this year. And you know what, good for them... If my sorority got those girls I know everyone in my house would be proud of one another for putting on such a good rush.

I disagree. Phi Mu did not get many of what my OR house considered top PNMs. Phi Mu's type is different from my houses' type. I'm glad they got their top girls, but we're really happy we got OUR top girls.
