It took me through Pref to do it, though. I kept listing them very low, and they kept coming back. I honestly expected them to show up in my Bid Day Envelope.

That said, there was absolutely nothing wrong with them, other than a couple of weird conversations. I met some really nice girls. I just genuinely believed that I was not the type of girl that they usually went for, and that I would ultimately not be as happy there as the house I ended up in. It all worked out, and a couple of gals on my floor that I am friends with, ran to their yard, and they are loving it.

Sounds to me that someone didn't like their low ranked Legacy house and wanted to get in a higher ranked house. Thought you were too good for them, huh?

Actually, it was exactly the opposite. My Legacy chapter was an old row house that is normally ranked high here. The house I loved is usually ranked Middle lower/middle here.

Like I said, I didn't think I was the type of girl they normally wanted, not that I was too good for them.

I was an XO legacy and was dropped after philanthropy. I was devastated. I knew they had a lot of legacies, but I still had top-tier OR houses left until Pref night, and I'm an in-state student from a school the recruit from. I felt so hurt, and even years later I'm disappointed I couldn't share my mom's sisterhood with her.
Side note: I love my house. I just wish I could have made that decision.

@XO think back to those pnms you would never have wanted as members of your home, for whatever reason your house upheld. Would any of your initiated sisters have appreciated it if NPC and/or your sorority required allowing those pnms their on-a-whim personal choice to absolutely join and initiate into your group? Leaving the decision of who gets into any sorority should remain evermore the prerogative of initiated members only.
