ok...we all drink

by: Peace

Before you slam on me I read the fb post, but no one knows if they forced them to drink. She refers to drink driving, but doesn't explain it much. If pledges drinking got us kicked off campus, greek life would be gone.

But if we looked at it rationally, we wouldn't be able to continue or pastime of slamming old row every chance we get to make ourselves feel better

But the biggest kind of stupid here is the mom posting it in a facebook group. Do we still not realize the repercussions of posting ANYTHING on ANY type of social media? Kneejerk emotional reaction instead of taking a moment to gather some facts and make a few phone calls. What do you think will happen every time when the first thing you do is put it up there for everyone in the world to pass it around?

WHO cares about what people think of you? She was worried about what was happening to her daughter. Her name is on the post. She was legitimately worried as any RATIONAL mother would be and she posted in a sorority mom group for help bc she was concerned.

Everyone doesn't shove things under the rug like you hope they will. I do feel sorry for the daughter, but i feel sorry for her pledging this 1800s mentality... I feel happy for her that she has a mother who doesn't accept this as ok.

You are literally fulfilling every negative stereotype. Girls-- this place is just the worst. Sorry but that is the truth.

Penn State. Everyone thought that was okay too. Until it wasn't. I have no personal dislike for KD, and yes I know it goes on elsewhere. Hazing needs to stop. Surely you can have a little dignity on Bid Day. And I don't blame the mother one bit. If I was on that post, you bet your behind my mom would have been checking the situation out. People die from this stuff. Period

the whole post is a lie no one was puking in the house or forcing any pledges to drink. it was a pool then pizza party where the house watched a movie and did ice breakers also they told pledges to come to the parties this week but also said it was "totally fine" if they didnt and arent gonna fine anyone. if that girl stays a KD everyone is gonna know her and hate her bc her mom spread straight up lies about the sorority just because her daughter probably didn't fit in or get her first choice. the mom literally said "can she choose another house?" if you need more context of how uninformed and wrong this mother is

It isn't fake news just because you don't like it. It happened and the girl's mom was concerned. Mine would be too. I am not throwing shade at KD. I would say this about any sorority, even my own. My mom would be worried and might feel like every stereotype she has heard about modern day sorority life was true. There is no defense. Period. There should have been no actives drinking with pledges this weekend. Period. Did it happen in other houses? Probably. But to make life bad for this girl because her mom was concerned is really tacky and awful. And you are assuming a whole lot about that mom with your "probably" statement
