bid day should be just the girls!!
by: Parents
Bid day should be just for the members and pledges. Parents need to stay home.
This is college not elementary school.

Why do you even care? More than likely Mommy and Daddy are paying for their sorority experience, and if they want to come watch their angel snowflake run to her house, and check it out afterward, how does that bother you at all? They leave soon enough.
We all have things we wanna stick our flag in and declare, but this is one of the strangest I've seen, and my parents didn't even come up when I got my bid.

I agree with the original post. There are plenty of other times for parents to come. Why must it be at the moment Sisterhood starts. Are they coming for the first day of class? Probably not.
These parents think Bid day is their excuse they have made it socially. BIG NEWS ALERT!!!! It's not about you it's about your kid. Greek life is great but really let it be the girls and not you.

Just saw this buried in all the KD stuff ... sorry you missed out on bid day. Alabama bid day is an amazing experience. If they don't wan't parents there, why do they serve us a fabulous lunch and have a parent meeting with all the pertinent financial information? I for one appreciated every bit of it. I am an Alumni and a sorority alumni, and I rather agree with the poster. It started with parents but I met a woman (BID DAY) who brought additional family and also friends from out of state to enjoy the day. Hundreds of pictures later she and her "family/friends" overstayed their welcome.
Daughter was lost in the fuss over mom's good luck. Come on limit it to the parents and leave the others at home.
