I think honestly OR and NR shouldn't be compared because although there's definitely cross rushing, they're looking for very different PNMs. XO/KKG/KD tops are usually going to be quite different than APhi tops. For example, ZTA killed it with their kinds of tops, getting so many pretty girls, whereas KKG got all the in state debutantes they could want. XO got lots of involved southern girls, APhi got lots of northern trendy girls. So if you're from the North you're probably going to think they or ZTA is top, if you're from Alabama you're going to lean towards OR. I think ranking houses is so unfair because it can't be very numerical or factual and we all are looking for different qualifications.

I'm betting you didn't actually walk over to the Theta AND DZ house right! Maybe one but not both considering their location and the heat. So now we know you're just throwing them under the bus like normal bullies always do on here. I didn't see Theta but I did see DZ and I was impressed with many that I saw. I would say they did take advantage of the OOS edge most NR houses are experiencing this year. Congrats to them and the other houses!

Did NR get some stunning girls? Absolutely! But just because a house is beautiful does not mean they are more involved/have better sisterhoods/grades/traditions/nationals/return rates than houses that maybe don't have drop dead gorgeous girls. OR still got plenty of pretty girls, but they're more cute, classic pretty, not like the trendy stunners in for example ZTA.

I know this won't be a popular opinion, but I wasn't that impressed with APhi and ZTA when I went by today. Y'all built them up too much. They have some cute girls, and a few with well done makeup, but they had a lot of meh girls too.

I was just going to say the same thing about A Phi. After hearing about how beautiful they are I was stunned by their averageness. There are lots of houses with pretty girls (PMs for example are much prettier), A Phis just wear more make up. Not a good look to me.

can i say as an ex pnm this is such a turn off when you actually go through rush. it makes it seem like new row is obsessed with old row and that new row is all on this website. just saying it doesn't look good to keep saying this over and over again. also a lot of us met tons of oos girls in old row that were very happy, contrary to what's tried to be said on here. just a tip.

There IS a lot of cross rushing between OR and NR and NR is increasingly getting girls OR wants and "needs".
I think as several OR examples will attest - clinging to a limited list of known girls from specific areas in Alabama results in less than stellar results.
To keep up an OOS draw is needed in OR. Good for them! But with that, internal cliques are known to remain and hard to break. The Alabama insiders stick to themselves and can be exclusionary. I know, there are exceptions. Bit YOU know it's generally true.
As a result savvy OOS girls fearing being a "filler" (even though it's a filler OR desperately needs given house sizes and expenses) elects to become a more included member among girls like them.
That is the dynamics of NR improvement.

All the houses OR and NR did great and got the girls that fit their brand. Stop social climbing and let them have their day.

I am an OR active from Noth Carolina.
Added Panlove because I meant no hate.
But whether you want to hear it or not OR needs to wake up a bit. They clearly need OOS girls to maintain their image. Yet they don't always treat them well. NR is benefiting.
Take the advice or not.

Only OR house that stood out was DDD. Phi Mu and AXO did fine as usual too, but the others did not rush well this year. DG and ADPi did fine as well. Only NR houses that didn't do well were Theta and DZ.
