top house
by: PNMMy favorite house from all week dropped me and I'm devastated. I really see myself there and I can't see myself in 2/3 of the houses I got back. I don't know what to do. I'm still planning on attending all the parties today to see if how I feel changes but I'm crushed and afraid that I'll end up in one of these houses just because they're what I got, not because I legitimately belong there.

Sorry that happened. I know you are heartbroken, but nothing you can do,about it. Go to the rest of your parties with fresh eyes because the house you loved is not longer an option. Pay close attention to the other pnms at the party with you. That will give you an idea of the girls that will possibly be your pledge class which is so important. Try not to look at it as all you have left. You may have a different view after today. Give it a chance you may be surprised at the end of the night.

You are lucky you have choices at this point. Let go of the house that did not want you; you apparently did not belong there like you thought you did. These houses that want you see something in you that you don't see for yourself because you have been fixated on that one. Move forward and find your home, your REAL home now.

Trust me, every single house has cut SO many girls this week that those 2 houses are not just "what you got." Schools where 1-2 houses never make quota and are always at like half the membership of the other houses have "leftover chapters." All of the chapters here are strong and selective.
You may not have been paying full attention this week but they see something special in you for their sisterhood that made them invite you to pref over the many, many other girls they cut. They think you belong there! Try to have an open mind and heart tonight. And remember - the girls who will become your bff's and future roommates aren't even in the chapter yet. They're the ones lined up outside the house with you!! Your pledge class is everything.
My advice: go to all parties and rank all 3 the best you can. If you end up getting a bid from one of the two that you haven't connected with as much, give it 120% effort from Bid Day to Initiation week. I bet you will love wherever you are by then!
