Yes, just because they are your #1 does not mean that you are high enough on their bid list to get a bid. We have no way of telling you your "chances."

Think long and hard today about whether you would rather not be Greek at all than be in the second chapter. Look around at pref - the girls lined up at the second house with you could be your pledge sisters and bff's. It's possible the girls you'll love most in that house aren't even members yet.

I was in the same boat as you. I didn't think I even wanted to take a bid from my second choice because I loved my first choice so much. But it happened. I got my second choice. I was devastated but I gave them a shot. I absolutely love my house and have made some amazing friends through it. My advice to you; give the house you get a bid from a chance. They wanted YOU to be their sister, you never know what you could be missing out on.

If you suicide you CAN'T be a quota addition - MEANING if you are NOT on the chapter you listed as 1's first bid list you won't get a bid. If their quota is 75 (just for example) but they are allowed to take 90 to give everyone who maximized their options a bid...and you were #80 on their list, so you now have no bid. LIST BOTH HOUSES! And if you get the 2nd one GO TO BID DAY and be happy and give it an honest effort!! There are so many girls rushing now that COB is probably not happening. So give either house a chance!
