what went wrong??
by: PNMI've had an awesome rush including a full schedule but I can't get the first round cuts out of my head. I was dropped from old row including Tri Delt, Chi O, and KKG. I had recs, an amazing resume, high GPA, and I know I am attractive considering I have kept looks focused sororities like Aphi and Zeta. What went wrong? I did get a sense that on IWTs they weren't interested and already going to cut me but why?? Just wondering because I feel like there was nothing more I could have done which is discouraging

stop beating yourself up. at the end of the day, you will never know for sure what happened and why those houses dropped you. be grateful you still have houses that want you and direct your attention to them. the past has past and no amount of overthinking and self hatred will change your rush experience. I'm sure you're a lovely girl but everything happens for a reason. good luck with your other houses!

All of old row make extremely heavy cuts after IWTs because they have such high return rates from PNMs. Sounds like they just had too many other girls that they felt fit their "vibe" better or they knew more about and you weren't high up enough on their list.
Also, as far as attractiveness is concerned, Zeta and APhi are certainly full of beautiful girls but their 'type" of beauty may be different from an old row house's. All the girls here are beautiful (I mean that genuinely!) but in different ways.

I came from OOS south and didn't have recs for KKG and had them for pref. It might be they just thought you didn't belong in their house. I was a legacy for Chi O, but dropped them first round because I didn't mesh with their girls, and Tri Delt dropped me for sisterhood round even though I had connections within the house. Don't take anything to personal. Sometimes it's out of their hands.

Im out of state with no connections and the same thing happened to me. I had recs and everything and every other house kept me except for the old row ones who all cut me at IWT and its just how it works and I've come to accept it, Im so happy I'm in the house I'm in now and i realize that if I was in one of those old row houses I would probably feel like an outsider anyways so Im glad I'm not. plus its way more fun to be in a house whee you have sisters from all over. nobody wants high school round 2
