dropped from all
by: Dropped 😢I've been dropped. Can I try SDT and the Christian one? I noticed there are some other houses ranked on here that didn't participate either- AKA, ZPB, and another?? Are they similar to SDT andbthe Christian house?

Also, please don't feel bad about being dropped. Once you are on the other side, you see all the internal recruitment mistakes that happen and realize that besides ordering based on grades and legacies, the rest of the factors and processes impact the strats lists in a very haphazard way. There is no way anyone should take the lists personally.
#13by: me too!
I was also far OOS when I went through. You sound like a lovely, accomplished, and determined PNM. I'm sad that this year's formal recruitment did not go the way you wanted. Here's what I would do:
1) Keep your grades up
2) Join a group, volunteer, build your self confidence, get used to talking to lots of people in high energy situations, and get involved on campus
3) Keep your social media clean
4) Sign up for COB! You might thrive in a lower pressure environment.
5) Remember that you are valued and cherished as a member of the Crimson Tide!! Good luck!!
#14by: So sorry
Your story is unfortunate, but it does happen sometimes that a great PNM slips through the crack. You do have options and I think you should investigate all of them. I think the best advice was to check out the 2 sororities you mentioned, but do not pledge unless you are absolutely sure it is what you want. Both are terrific options. But the fact that we have a terrific NPC sorority colonizing is also an option, as well as COB or rerushing next year. Lots to think about. Good luck!
#15by: SDT
My coworker is the president of SDT and they have one of the, if not THE tightest knit sisterhood on campus. That sorority is full of girls who really love each other. You'll know everyone since it's a lot smaller so you'll have even more opportunities to find your place. Give them a shot!
