which houses are not in the machine?

Theta is the only house not affiliated with the Machine. They're invited every year but decline for various reasons, some of which include their independent approach to things like this as well as they simply haven't in the past so why start now. And in all honesty being affiliated with the Machine isn't as amazing as some may make it out to seem. They only thing Theta really struggles with due to their lack of affiliation with the Machine is have a HoCo queen and an SGA president. That's it. I know a lot of Thetas actually still hold other SGA positions as well.
Being affiliated/not affiliated with the Machine does not impact your Greek life experience other than the voting for SGA/HoCo that occurs once a year.

LOL the Machine has NO impact on rankings. The Machine has been losing "power" quickly and was only really effective decades ago... Which btw, decades ago Theta was decently higher ranked than they are today.
As of today, the only thing the Machine has true control over is HoCo Queen and SGA president... And even at that, they lost the SGA president position to a non Machine backed candidate like two years ago.
Theta is doing fine. They're not at the "bottom of the sorority list," or at least in my opinion. Good grades, good involvement, and nice sisterhood. Also, Theta has numerous girls who hold SGA positions.
