snap bids

Do snap bids actually happen? How many are there usually (like a decent amount or just a few)? Which houses have given them (are they always like bottom ranked houses)?

Snap bids are not even worth thinking about - they are rare and go out in the middle of the night after Pref if they even happen.

They are only given out if a chapter fails to meet quota during bid matching and are very hush hush- ie, only the pnm receiving the snap and the chapter's advisor / president/ rush chair would even know the chapter missed quota and who was snapped up to quota.
