by: PNMIf I were an active and didn't know where the state my PNM was from is located I would NOT ask!!! As in, "so I've heard of Nebraska (example- not where I'm from)! Is that up in the northeast?" Surely you learned geography in HS- if you really want to know look it up later. I'm a legacy to this house and told my sister this and she cracked up laughing but was embarrassed for the house.

I'm helping out with recruitment and noticed this. About 15 years ago, at MY house, an active asked a PNM which state GERMANY was in! We were horrified. We talked to this active and prayed the PNM would come back. She did come back but did not end up at our house on Bid Day.
I'd talk to your actives about this- you could lose some great girls this way if you don't. Just say, "if a girl says her home state and you have no idea where it is, change the topic!!" Just trying to help. You're all working SO hard- too hard to let one active mess up your chances on a legacy who could be a great asset to the house.
