happy first day of recruitment

by: YAY

Dear PNMs,

enjoy meeting some of your BEST friends ever tonight. It is vey possible that those friends of yours will end up being your sisters. Be talkative, be lovable, be socialable. Go out of your way to form friendships and form bonds. I will be ever so thankful for my friends I made during recruitment. Please go into each house with an open mind. Go where you feel at home. Go where you connect with the girls. Please don't make your decision based on looks, the house, or ranks. If you make your decisions off of superficial decisions, you will not be happy. Good luck.

From the bottom of my heart, I'm so happy for each and every one of you. I have already seen 60+ photos of all you beautiful girls moving into your dorms. I know everyone of you belongs somewhere. In a week this will all be over and you will have a place to call home.

Agree with OP: If you make your decisions off of superficial distinctions, you will not be happy. If you have been dirty rushed and think you know what you want, open your mind back up. Good luck.

You're going to have good conservation at houses. You're going to love a house. You're going to love the girls. However, this will probably be the same house that drops you. Just because you think you're right for a house, doesn't mean you are. The actives know better than you, remeber that. Its going to break your heart, but you will find a place. Just know it isn't the end of the world. You will make it.

Also, you might not be interested in a house. Please just do your best and talk to the girls, even if you plan on dropping the house. It is so awkward for us when you're totally uninterested in talking to us. Remember we have spent months preparing for your arrival. Long long nights and long long days. It makes us feel even worse when the girl were trying to talk to won't even talk to us.

Not to mention, it makes you kind of look like a total jerk when you come into someone's house and treat them like you are better than them, because I promise you that you aren't and you never know when you might need to work with those same girls in the future. 20 minutes of courtesy isn't too much to ask for.

Luckily the vast majority of PNMs aren't like this.

I love my house. I had no idea at the beginning of recruitment (or before) where I wanted to be at bid day. I hope you are as lucky as me and my sisters.

Enjoy meeting new people. Many of the women you spend time with going house to house will become your good friends for life.
