Noooooo! Any girl can get a bid from any house without knowing anyone. As long as you have an awesome resume and legit social skills you can get a bid anywhere.

OP's impression is correct, but there are always rare exceptions for the right pnm. Some late bloomers always impress and snag a few bids even at places like XO.
