bid day retreat
by: pnmI know that most sororities do a bid day retreat. I read somewhere that you have very little time to go back to the dorm and pack for it. Not knowing where we will be accepting a bid or where the retreat will be held, what should we be prepared to pack for?

Must haves for all houses regardless of where you go:
Bathing suit, over night clothes (pajamas), a casual outfit for the next day (most girl just bring their bid day t shirts), hygiene stuff (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, perfume, face wash, etc), a short white dress (most houses have a pledge ceremony thing).
It doesn't matter where you accept a bid, all houses do the same stuff for the most part - you're either in a hotel with a pool, at the beach, or at an amusement park.

We had enormous delays due to rain and a computer glitch last year. The bus times couldn't be changed. We had 30-45 minutes. For most girls in Tut, that was ok. For the rest of us, it was a scramble. I wish I had pre-packed and had it ready to go. Also, a blanket. Some girls are going to be sleeping on the floor, especially if you go to the aquarium.
