i just saw this video and most of what the girl says applies to rush here. i know some of y'all pnms were asking about how "fake" rush is and/or how "fake" certian houses here are and whatnot and i think this girl gives good insight from the inside. btw she was in a top house at fsu if that means anything to you. its long but as an active here i thought it was good. obviously not every house here is this "cutthroat" or "fake." take what you will from this.

I mean I think there are definitely a lot of similarities...
1. Mutual selection process is almost entirely dependent on the house. Unless you're a top PNM with a full schedule every day, you're not the making the decisions.
2. There's more emphasis on double/triple legacies and sometimes your legacy status can automatically get you a bid.
3. Overall there really is just a lot of shallow stuff. There definitely are some houses that recruit solely on appearances and if you don't fit their image then you're dropped before you even walk in the doors no matter how smart, involved, wealthy you are.

honestly, I'm fine with 99% of the videos posted on youtube about sorority recruitment/greek life. what bothers me is when people who don't know what they're talking about harp on their perceived injustices or when people repeatedly say "I'm going to stop talking about this" and then continue to talk about it because it's the only sort of video that gets views. Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't this girl drop out her freshman year (like other youtubers we know who love to talk about the "secrets" of membership selection), meaning she wouldn't actually know how membership selection is made? If she didn't recruit as a sophomore, she doesn't know for sure exactly how it works. It just baffles me that girls who think they know everything are clearly just so butthurt to think they're an authority.

Brighton has always said that these are the kinds of videos that get requested, if her following wanted to see different things, that's on them to ask for it. It's YouTube, of course, you'd want views and for your subscribers to watch what they're interested in.
Also you are indeed wrong, you don't even need to watch her video of why she dropped ADPi, it's in the description:
