going inactive

If someone goes inactive to study abroad or for personal reasons, can they re-activate (?) ??

to study abroad yes lol because girls come back after that. for personal reasons it depends on the house

Yes to study abroad. Personal reasons it depends. For example my sisters mom was really sick with cancer last year and while she was still at school she went inactive because she was going home every Thursday night and coming back Monday morning. She went active again in the spring. She still hung out casually during the week and when her mom passed about 1/4 of our pledge class drove 4 hours to be there for her!
If you are dropping out of school to give a baby up for adoption or rehab probably not.
